Summary

I had a great summer with the vSphere Integerated Containers Team and worked on different VIC components. VIC is an open source project, and my contributions are listed below.

What I worked on

Mask lost+found folder created by ext4 from containerVM viewpoint (work here)

Expand default ulimit values on containerVM (work here)

Docker cp feature implementation (work here)

• Support file inspection when container is stopped (work here)
• Block persona from returning to user until copy completes (work here)
• Write integration tests involving power changes, shared volumes and concurrent copy for docker cp (work here)
• Detect truncated copy operation and propagate useful message (work here)

Add support for DNS configuration on Virtual Container Host (work here)

Tag manager VM to enable containerVM to access trusted content services (work here)

Refactor out initialization services to manager VM’s Getting Started page (work here)
